Job Title: Summer Intensive Practice Coach
Location: Fried Music, 11 S 2nd Street, Alhambra CA 91801
Duration: Summer Program (Four two-week sessions between June 9 - August 2, 2025)
Position Type: Part-Time (Monday through Saturday, 9:30am-4pm)
Job Description: Fried Music is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Summer Intensive Practice Coach to support our students during our rigorous summer program. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for music education, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a talent for inspiring young musicians to reach their full potential. The Practice Coach will oversee student practice sessions, providing analytical feedback, fostering an organized environment, and helping students overcome technical and musical challenges in their daily practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor student practice sessions to ensure productive and focused work.
- Analyze students’ practice habits and techniques, offering tailored solutions to enhance their progress.
- Maintain an organized schedule of practice rooms and ensure resources are efficiently allocated.
- Inspire and motivate students to stay disciplined and enthusiastic throughout the intensive program.
- Must be available for a minimum of one full session. (June 9-21; June 23-July 5; July 7-19; July 21-August 2)
Qualifications:
- BM in Classical Music Performance. MM preferred. Exceptions could be made.
- Passion for teaching and refined teaching skills required.
- Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple students effectively.
- Inspiring and approachable demeanor, with a talent for motivating students of varying skill levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Title: Summer Day Camp Counselor

Job Description: Fried Music is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Summer Day Camp Counselor to lead, supervise, and inspire musicians ages 10-18 in a variety of recreational activities. This role is perfect for someone passionate about working with kids, fostering creativity, and promoting teamwork in a fun, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and facilitate daily recreational activities including group games, arts and crafts, city exploration, and more.
- Ensure camper safety by enforcing rules, monitoring participation, and responding to emergencies as needed.
- Engage campers with age-appropriate instruction and encouragement to build confidence and skills.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports diverse interests and abilities.
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and inventory of activity supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Received or actively pursuing a Bachelors Degree.

Job Description: Fried Music is looking for classically-trained violinist for our music school faculty. Interview process will include meeting with the founders of Fried Music and the current violin faculty member. Applicants should be prepared for an interview, performance and teaching a mock lesson. Interested candidates should email us a resume, bio, recent video recording of their playing, and teaching philosophy statement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance
- Must have the ability to commute to Fried Music in Alhambra, California
- Must be passionate about pedagogy and open to developing and maintaining a studio
- Develop individualized curricula that challenge students technically and artistically, preparing them for professional auditions, competitions, and performances
- Coach chamber music ensembles
- Perform periodically in faculty concerts
- High level of organization and communication skills
Preferred: Applicants who have Masters degree in Violin Performance or are working towards obtaining an MM are preferred. Our faculty is comprised of graduates from Colburn, Curtis, Juilliard, New England Conservatory, etc. Mandarin speaker a plus! -
Job Title: Operations Assistant
Employment Type: Part-Time (Weekends)
Reports To: Director of Operations
Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our team at Fried Music. The Operations Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the school and shop. This position supports the Director of Operations by managing administrative and marketing tasks, facilitating student and staff needs, and contributing to the welcoming atmosphere of our school. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and passionate about supporting a creative and educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Process payroll for faculty and staff accurately and on time. Payroll runs biweekly.
- Prepare and send invoices to students and families for lessons, programs, and other services, maintaining clear and organized records.
- Manage lesson credits for students, ensuring accurate and timely updates in the system. Includes re-processing and sending updated invoices.
- Coordinate with students, parents, and teachers to reschedule lessons as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks, scheduling, correspondence, and special projects as directed alongside the Director of Operations.
- Create social media content/output schedule for both Instagram accounts
- Work at the Fried Music Shop (FM Shop), assisting customers with purchases, managing inventory, and promoting merchandise.
- Provide general administrative support, respond to inquiries, and contribute to a positive and professional environment for students, families, and staff.
- May occasionally need to attend recruitment events and help stage manage as needed.Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and GSuite
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to multitask and problem solve
Comfortable interacting with kids, families, and customers
Interest in or appreciation for classical music or the arts is a plus but not required.
Fluent in Mandarin is a plus.
Work Schedule:
One weekday of choice to work alongside our Director of Operations for a five-hour shift. Must be available on weekends: Saturdays 11PM-6PM and Sundays 8AM-4PM.
