Course Description: Explore classical music interpretation through an individualistic approach. This course equips musicians at any stage with practical music theory skills, enhancing performance through self-paced learning. Focus on score reading, ear training, and musical analysis to enrich your musical expression, and take your concerts to the next level.

The curriculum will cover foundational topics such as key and time signatures, intervals, rhythmic patterns, chords, and basic harmonic progressions. Additionally, students will be introduced to Roman numeral analysis, an essential tool for understanding the structure of tonal music. Students will have access to individual packets that allow for exploration and mastery of these concepts.

The Montessori-inspired approach encourages independence and self-directed learning, so students will have the flexibility to engage with the material according to their own pace and learning preferences. There will also be opportunities for full-class discussions and occasional lectures, where the instructor will introduce key ideas and answer questions, allowing for both individual exploration and group learning.
