Trio Tokava (Nadia Azzi, piano; Zi Yang Low, violin; Eugene Lin, cello) was formed at the Colburn Conservatory of Music and is based in Los Angeles, USA. All three artists have illustrious solo and chamber music careers, and the group is dedicated to offering audiences a unique and captivating approach to the repertoire they perform. Members of the trio have attended prestigious chamber music festivals, including the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and Sarasota Music Festival, among others. Collectively and individually, the trio regularly works with Martin Beaver, Fabio Bidini, and Clive Greensmith.

NADIA AZZI, born in Florida to Lebanese-Japanese parents and fluent in Japanese and English, is a recipient of numerous top prizes at national and international levels, including the Beverly Hills National Auditions, National YoungArts Foundation, Ishikawa Music Academy, and Nordmann Scholarship Competition. She has received fellowships and scholarships at the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, Sarasota Music Festival, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Yellow Barn, and Aspen Music Festival. In addition, she has performed at the Newport Music Festival, Bravo Niagara of the Arts, Arabs’ Got Talent, NPR’s From the Top, WGN-TV Chicago, Radio Canada International, NHK-FM Japan, FBC Japan, Fukui TV, and WFMT Chicago. Ms. Azzi has also performed with several orchestras under distinguished conductors. She graduated from the pre-college division of The Juilliard School studying with Yoheved Kaplinsky, and received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees at the Colburn Conservatory of Music studying with Fabio Bidini.

Born in Kuala Lumpur, ZI YANG LOW started playing the piano at age three and the violin at age four. He soon began to develop his passion for music. Zi Yang has won first prize in several national and international competitions and has also given solo recitals in Asia and North America. He made his solo orchestral debut with the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra in the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in Kuala Lumpur and the Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore. Previously, Zi Yang graduated from the Colburn Music Academy, where he studied with Martin Beaver. He had also studied with Ming Goh, Co-Concertmistress of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, and Malgorzata Potocka. Zi Yang is a Bachelor of Music degree candidate at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, where he studies with Martin Beaver. He currently performs on a 1718 Francesco Ruggeri violin on generous loan by the Rin Collection from Singapore.

EUGENE LIN was born in 2001 in Taiwan. He began to study the cello at the age of nine, entered the Colburn Academy of Music at the age of fifteen, where he studied with Ronald Leonard, Hans Jensen, Robert Demaine and Clive Greensmith. He currently studies under Clive Greensmith at the Colburn Conservatory of Music. In 2019, he was selected by a competitive program organized by the NTSO, and received a full scholarship at the Taipei Music Academy & Festival and Heifetz Institute of Music. In 2021, he was a fellow of the Ravinia Steans Music Institute. Eugene is also the semi-finalist of Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, Johansen International Competition and Geneva Competition. He has played in master classes for Marc Coopey, Gautier Capuçon, Ralph Kirshbaum, Li-Wei Qin and Lynn Harrell, Frans Helmerson and Gary Hoffman.
