Satori Young Pianist Contest 2023

Congratulations to the piano students of Connie Kim-Sheng Fried, who all did a fantastic job at the Satori competition held over the July 8-9 weekend!! For Emma and Lilly, it was their first competition ever and we are so proud of how beautifully they played.

Irene An, Qualified Category, won 1st Prize performing Bach's Prelude and Fugue in c minor.

Emma Bui, Qualified Category, won 2nd Prize performing Burgmuller's Knight Errant.

Lilly Bui, Qualified Category, won 1st Prize performing Bach's Invention No. 8.

Wesley Leung, Open Category, won 2nd Prize performing the third movement of Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata.

Fredrik Wong, Qualified Category, won 1st Prize performing Liszt's Liebestraum No. 3 and 2nd Prize performing Bach's Italian Concerto.

Eric Xu, Qualified Category, won 1st Prize performing Chopin's Revolutionary Etude.
